Your choice
Essential storage operates because it is necessary to deliver, secure or protect the Service. In the EEA, GizAI asks before enabling optional analytics cookies and affiliate attribution. In the UK, restricted aggregate service statistics and anonymous A/B assignment operate without prior consent under the statistical-purposes exception; full analytics and affiliate attribution remain off unless you allow them. Elsewhere, optional analytics storage and attribution are enabled by default where permitted. Choosing Reject optional stops optional browser measurement and storage without blocking paid core features. Open Cookie settings in the public footer or Account settings → Data & privacy at any time to object or change the choice. Data already lawfully collected follows the Privacy Policy.

The pfb9 browser value is a hash derived from the browser and rendering characteristics listed in the Privacy Policy. Giz's server converts it with a secret-key HMAC before comparison or storage. We use the server pseudonym, rather than a shared IP address alone, when a device signal is available. We do not use it for analytics, advertising, Community ranking or cross-site tracking and do not send it to external vendors.

Matomo is operated by Giz. Before an EEA choice, restricted Matomo runs without analytics cookies or identifiers. In the UK statistical mode, Matomo likewise runs without analytics cookies, account IDs, browser-feature detection or performance timing and receives only sanitized page and referrer paths, aggregate feature statistics and an anonymous experiment group. It does not receive prompt text, user names, URL queries or media URLs. Choosing Reject optional stops Matomo. A signed-in user's product-experiment assignment is held in the account database and does not depend on the abVariant cookie; Matomo receives the account assignment only when full analytics storage is enabled.
Optional affiliate attribution
Where the regional default or your choice permits optional storage, GizAI may load an affiliate-attribution service to attribute a referral and reconcile eligible purchases. The service may read referral parameters and set first-party or third-party storage according to its configuration. Attribution is not required to use or purchase GizAI.
Browser controls and contact
Browser settings can also block or delete storage, but blocking essential authentication or security storage can prevent requested functionality. For questions or rights requests, contact support@giz.ai.
